On 28, 29 and 30 October 2007, the third Annual Meeting of the Total Identity Network took place in Berlin, Germany. Participants were: Jan Dries (Gramma, Antwerp, B), Manuel Demetz (Total Identity Italy, Bolzano, I), Jennifer Tsai and Nadine Hartmann (Proad Identity, Taipei, TW), Armin Speer (Riva, Berlin/Zürich, D/CH), Vanessa Bandke and Alexander Klank (BB&G+KLANK design, Hamburg, D), Rob Vermeulen (Vermeulen|Total Identity, Heerlen, NL), Hans P Brandt, Alexandra de Bruijne and Stijn van Diemen (Total Identity, Amsterdam, NL). Due to prior commitments our partners Total Identity Korea and Sommer/Total Identity, and candidate partners Ware Concepts from Lisbon and AfXion from Seville could not be present.
Activities included parallel and plenary workshops on Total Identity tools such as future scenarios as a basis for positioning, building an identity matrix, and the communication scan. Also presentations were given about Tis Innovation Park (Manuel Demetz), Rotterdam Healthcare Boulevard (Stijn van Diemen), Sirris (Jan Dries), Before and After (Jennifer Tsai), BB&G+KLANK design (Vanessa Bandke and Alexander Klank) and finally a presentation on Riva (Armin Speer).
Furthermore, a discussion was held on network and tools development, of which we mention the most important results:
A fundamental discussion was held about the business model of the Network and the consequences of the ‘light’ model that has been used the past few years. In other words to intensify contact, cooperation between partners a new model with new policies and procedures must be effected. In the near future a proposal for a new model will be developed and presented to all partners. Stijn van Diemen will contact all network partner to investigate specific needs and expectations on this subject.
It was suggested to organise the Network meeting twice a year. One meeting with requested attendance of the management of the partners, to talk about the Network, and a second meeting with voluntary attendance to develop and discuss (new) network tools, products and knowledge. Lecturers could be invited for this 'May Academy', which will always be held in The Netherlands at a fixed special location. Lecturer fees and sejour will be paid by the network partners.
Furthermore we discussed the importance of familiarity and stability of members at this meeting in Berlin. The next (knowledge) meeting will probably be organised in the Spring of next year.
Finally, the idea was launched to create a simple and effective brochure about the services and partners of the Total Identity Network. A proposal for this new brochure will be sent to the network.
